Welcoming husband and wife, Vernon and Sherricka Jones! They are excited to become owners and officially start their business. Vernon is a veteran of 20 years who served in the United States Army and worked as a professional firefighter in Shreveport. He loves the idea of helping people make sound investments, which is why he selected the home inspection industry.
Vernon is also a health and fitness advocate. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Service in the Army brought lots of travel, allowing him to see many sunrises and sunsets—some all in the same plane ride! Vernon spends his free time with family.
Sherricka is co-owner and contributes equally to the business. Sherricka is a former Shreveport city official and has spent the majority of her career in public finance, working with over $2.5 billion as an investment banker in municipal debt financing and budgeting. She’s also been a life insurance agent and SEC registered securities representative since 2008. Sherricka earned her bachelor’s degrees in finance and business administration from Centenary College and her master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
Sherricka is very business oriented with strong financial acumen. She earned a spot on the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce’s Top 40 Under 40 Young Professionals in 2018. But Sherricka has a creative side as well, working as artistic director and co-owner of the Play Station Dance Studio. She even danced on the Apollo Theater in New York and had a dancing role in the Denzel Washington film, The Great Debaters.
