HomeTeam Inspection Service Opens New Location in Southern California

Milford, OH— For over 30 years, HomeTeam Inspection Service has been providing fast, trusted and accurate home inspection services throughout the United States and is excited to announce the expansion of another franchise in Western Riverside County.

Husband and wife made business partners—introducing Juan Carlos Iraola and Cynthia Aguiar! Their youth was split between living in California and Mexico. They later met while serving in the Navy aboard the U.S.S Ronald Regan.

Juan Carlos has always been a hard worker—he started working when he was just fifteen at his father’s restaurant. Juan Carlos later went on to join the Navy after 9/11. There he worked on an amphibious assault ship securing aircraft. His next assignment landed him on the U.S.S Ronald Regan where he worked in the hanger bay overseeing aircraft and his crew.

Throughout his ten-year career in the Navy, Juan Carlos became an expert in many trades including: firefighting and rescue, quality assurance, welding, painting, and maintaining/operating equipment. He held titles of Safety Petty Officer and Navy Aviation Warfare Specialist.

Along the way, Juan Carlos had many volunteer experiences like helping with medical evacuation for the Marines and deploying with the hospital ship, U.S.N.S Mercy to provide humanitarian services to developing nations. He also received many accolades and awards including two Humanitarian medals and a Global War on Terrorism medal.

Cynthia bought her first home when she was just 19 years old. She saved up by working at McDonald’s and her local post office. Cynthia then received her associate degree from ITT Technical and became an electronics technician. Throughout college Cynthia worked as a supervisor for Cafe Press, a customizable online retail company.

Hardworking and determined, she joined the Volunteers of America to fulfill her passion for helping others. While volunteering she realized she wanted to become a nurse and attended community college to obtain her bachelor’s degree. However, this didn’t pan out as she found her true calling was to serve the country.

Cynthia joined the Navy and spent five years working on CVN 76 engines while aboard the U.S.S Ronald Regan. She had many roles here including Training Petty Officer and Maintenance Supervisor, where she oversaw many sailors. Juan Carlos and Cynthia met on her second deployment but got to know each other better on the shores of Dubai.

When asked why they selected the home inspection industry, they replied, “We both love to learn, teach, and help people—in this job we’ll get to do just that. No two days will ever be the same, and what better way to show pride in your work than becoming a home inspector.” Juan Carlos and Cynthia were both blown away by the professionalism and structure at HomeTeam, warranting them to make their move as owners.

Juan Carlos loves to stay active in his free time—playing soccer, swimming, biking, and building Legos with his son are his favorites. He also coaches a local youth soccer team. As a lover of nature, Cynthia enjoys hiking, gardening, and bicycling.

This duo will share responsibilities fifty-fifty—Juan Carlos will focus on inspections and operations, while Cynthia will take care of the administrative and accounting tasks.
